Email is slow downloading?
« on: January 21, 2015, 05:01:10 AM »
You must remove all messages from the server at least once a week. If you have let 1500 messages accumulate on the server it would not be surprising if the send/receive is slow or unresponsive. If your connection is DSL and the slowdown is sporadic the cause is most likely to be DSL traffic loading. Try again at a later time.

Email is downloading slow

Usually this issue is caused by slow Internet connection and / or huge emails. To resolve this:

1. Try downloading your emails using IMAP, this will help in dealing with emails with large attached files. This is so because the attachment won't be downloaded automatically, which is the main reason for slow mail download when using POP3. For detailed instructions on how to set your application to use IMAP instead of POP3 please check:

2. Check the speed of your local connection and ask your ISP for additional assistance. Make sure nothing else is being downloaded.
